Oh boy!

We’re happy to make you something fully from scratch, but we are not a generic manufacturer or 3D printing service. If you’d like us to make you something, we’ll require a deposit paid up-front, and charge £50.00 per hour for labour (not including automated machine time like 3D-printing times or finish curing times) in addition to materials costs. We’ll give you an estimate at the beginning of the project, but this amount may change in compliance with UK law. We’ll let you know if the amount is likely to change.

We can’t make you a custom BeltBolt Lynx right now because we’re still testing the standard version! We’ll happily make you one to your specifications once we’re ready, though. Check back later!

If you would like something heavily customised, providing drawings (even doodles), technical layouts, 3D models and descriptive documents are particularly useful. We don’t need these, but they’ll help us get you your perfect items faster and more accurately.

What happens next

We’ll look at your custom item request and assess whether we can fulfil it. We’ll contact you via email to discuss the next steps. We’ll agree on a design, materials and work to be done, and we’ll ask you to accept the proposals. If you do, we’ll ask you for a deposit equal to the standard product cost. Before sending you out your fancy custom items, we’ll send you an invoice for any additional materials costs as well as labour time, billed at £50.00 per hour for direct work time (automated machine time like 3D-printing times or finish curing times are not billed) and postage/packaging. Once that’s settled, we’ll send you your stuff!

Customised parts are supplied with a standard warranty against manufacturing defects in line with UK consumer protection law, but not for issues with design or fit that we could not have reasonably foreseen.
