Segufix®hands-free unlocking station

Bed restraints are hot, and they’re a great addition to your playtime arsenal or daily routine. The Segufix® magnetic locking system is a popular option, and allows for easily applying restraints that are hard to get out of. When you need to get out of them, though, fiddling with the magnetic key can be tricky, especially if your hands are out of action. Based on our own frustrations of those little red keys falling off the bedside table and getting stuck to the side of the metal lamp base, we’ve come up with a system you can set and forget on your bed frame. The first part of our BeltBolt BedTime system, which will be gradually built as a comprehensive bedtime restraint system, our hands-free unlocking station allows you to attach a reliable unlocking point to your bed (or anywhere else you wish!) that gives reliable unlocking for getting out in the morning, or during emergencies.

Our own use case? Our talented lesbian designer is locked to her bed every night, and her prototype BedTime electromagnetic lock on her locking mitts unlocks in the morning, allowing her to move her hands below her waist. When she’s unlocked, she can reach down to the foot of the bed frame where her hands-free unlocking station is, and she simply slots each mitt’s Segufix® lock into the station and it automatically releases, allowing her to get out of bed and get her day started.

Each station allows for hands-free removal of the black Segufix® lock top, which is held securely in place until you want to re-attach it. It can be easily lifted out with one finger, or it can be kept there until you’re locking back up, and simply inserting the locking post back into the station and sliding up will have you locked back up in no time. Each unlocking point includes a strong integrated magnet, which is fully enclosed to stop all your gear sticking to it too securely if you store it in your hardware drawer!

In case you’re unlocking in low light, bright guiding arrows above each unlocking slot provide easy identification when sleepy.

We provide these products in our standard range of colours, and with a set of stainless steel M5 nuts and bolts suitable for mounting to metal or wooden bedframes. For more temporary use, we also offer a temporary mounting plate which allows the station to be clamped to posts and bars etc up to 70mm wide and 25mm thick.
